Paulla Herrero Diz

Paula Herrero Diz: is researcher in the Communication and Education Department at Universidad Loyola Andalucía where she teaches Journalism. She received her PhD in Communication studies from Universidad de Sevilla and also holds a master’s degree in research methods by Universidad de Córdoba. She is Degree in Journalism by Universidad de Sevilla. Her doctoral thesis was about “Young prosumers: children and adolescents as agents of social change through digital content creation”. She has been visiting lecturer at Emerson College (Boston), Università di Siena (Italy), and visiting researcher at Bournemouth University, in the Centre for Excellence in Media Practices (UK). She has been Phd student of the Doctoral Summer School in Communication of ECREA (EU). Her research is related with media innovation, journalism, youth and technology, Media Literacy, positive communication and social change. She was member of the European project “ECO Elearning, Communication and Open-data: Massive Mobile, Ubiquitous and Open Learning. 2014-2017”. Also, she participates in the research team of the Spanish I+D+I project: “Media representation of non-healthy body image. Development of a prevention tool among children aged from 5 to 8”. Currently she is working several projects related with young people and disinformation. She has recently published the work: “Online news credibility: an evaluation of the information by Higher Education students”.
